Example payment flow
- Suppose that a customer pays £95 for an item, plus 20% VAT and £5 shipping. This comes to £119. A transaction request for £119 is received.

- If Stripe is used, they collect a payment processing fee from Bunsen. As of September 2021, this is 1.4% of the total transaction value, plus 20p. Here, that’s 1.4% of £119, plus 20p. That’s £1.87.
